Regulated Species
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries enacts and enforces laws to protect marine ecosystems from artificial damage, preserve marine biodiversity, and promote the sustainable use of marine biological resources. These efforts are part of a comprehensive and systematic approach to conserving and managing marine ecosystems.
Protected Entity
- Migratory marine animals
Animals moving in a group for spawning, feeding activities or reproduction, etc., which are determined by Ordinance of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries;

(b) Marine organisms which cause or are likely to cause disturbance to the balance of marine ecosystems, from among genetically modified organisms produced through genetic modification;
